A card that speaks when you can't

The Clue Card started with one late night, one elderly man in the rain, and a simple question: what if he'd had a card that told us who he was and who to call?

The night it all started

Why we built The Clue Card

It was a late evening. I was driving home when I noticed an elderly man standing alone at the roadside in the pouring rain. He looked distressed. I pulled up and asked if he was okay.

"Taxi," he said. Then: "Hospital." I got out, helped him into my car, and drove him to the nearest A&E. For the next two hours, myself and the hospital staff tried everything we could to find out who he was and who to call. Nobody had any answers.

Eventually, a care home reported a missing resident. The description matched. An hour later, his daughter arrived. He had severe dementia — he had gone for a walk and couldn't find his way home. A card with his name, his condition, and his daughter's number could have had her by his side within minutes.

After that night, I thought about the people in my own life — close family members with health conditions who could find themselves in the same situation. And then I thought about myself. I realised I couldn't recall my partner's phone number. Just the last three digits. If something happened to me tomorrow, who would the people trying to help me call?

The Clue Card is the answer. It doesn't need charging. It doesn't need a signal. It just needs to be tapped on any phone — and the right information appears instantly. For every £10 donated, we put one in the hands of someone who needs it most, through a charity you choose.

Give someone the information they need.

For every £10 you donate, we put a Clue Card in the hands of someone who needs it most — through a charity you choose.

Charities we work with

We partner with established charities across the UK to ensure every donated Clue Card reaches the people who will benefit most — those with health conditions, disabilities, or communication needs.

What people are saying

"My mum has dementia. We got her a Clue Card and set up her profile with her name, her medications, and my number. The peace of mind it has given me knowing that anyone who finds her can reach me immediately — it's hard to put into words. I've since donated cards to our local dementia support group."

"I carry a Clue Card because I have epilepsy. If I have a seizure in public, the person helping me can see exactly what's happening and who to call. It took five minutes to set up and I never think about it — it's just always there."

"Donating felt personal. I chose a charity that supports people with learning disabilities and I know those cards are going to people who really need them. A genuinely brilliant idea."

"We bought cards for my parents as a gift. Dad has a heart condition and Mum worries constantly when he's out alone. They both carry their cards now and Mum says it's the most useful thing we've ever bought them."

"I set up a monthly donation and it genuinely costs me less than a coffee a week. Knowing that every month a card is going to someone who couldn't otherwise afford it — that's worth it."

"I'm a carer and I recommended the Clue Card to several of my clients' families. The profile is easy to set up, even for people who aren't confident with technology. The support was brilliant too."

"I got one for myself after a friend mentioned it. I cycle alone a lot — if something happened and I didn't have my phone, no one would know who I was. Now they would. Best tenner I've spent."

"Simple, meaningful, well made. I appreciate that every purchase also funds a donation — it makes giving feel automatic. There is nothing else out there quite like it."
